Biography
I’ve been creating art is some form or another for as long as I can remember. It got me into trouble a few times in grade school considering drawing tended to hold my interest a bit more than other topics. After high school I decided to pursue an art degree and ended up graduating with a BFA in Illustration.
With a background in Illustration, my goal out of college was to work in game development, but I quickly found that a 3D background was almost certainly required to get my foot in the door and came back to learn the art. I was a bit apprehensive at first. I had little exposure to 3D and thought I wouldn't particularly like working with it. I quickly learned that wasn't true.
Now, as a 3D artist I am able to fully express my ideas, from 2D Visual Development, all the way up to fully modeled and textured 3D assets. The entire process is incredibly satisfying to me. I’ve always loved the feeling of creating something out of nothing when I’m drawing or painting and 3D allows me to take my work a step further.
Video Games have always been a passion of mine. Playing them has offered not only entertainment through-out my life. They have also been a great source of inspiration and have helped to drive my artistic path. For a while now I have wanted to take that passion to the next step and be part of the development in video games. With a background in both Illustration and 3D Modeling, I feel much more capable and hope to find work as a character modeler and/or texture artist. Ultimately, my goal is to find a career in my original passion as a Concept Artist.
